Nadi Shodhana Breathing Series
Alternate Nostril Breath, or Nadi Shodhana (nah-dee show-dah-nah) is a Pranayama, or breathing practice of yoga. Practicing this regularly, for as little as a few moments a day, serves to cleanse the nasal passages, strengthen the heart, lungs and respiratory system, increase mental composure and relax the mind so that greater capacity for meditation emerges. Nadi Shodhana can supplement any physical yoga practice or be done as a stand-alone technique for developing greater skill using the breath.
